ghostscript-dbg software package provides interpreter for the PostScript language and for PDF - Debug symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ghostscript-dbg
ghostscript-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ghostscript-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ghostscript-dbg *
You will get with ghostscript-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
